Kia ora koutou!
My name is Grace. I am proud to be a Teacher at Country Kids. I work in our under 2 programme Pikopiko. I have a son called Harlem, who I adore and love exploring the outdoors with him. For the past four incredible years I have been a part of the Country Kids whanau, during which I have achieved my Bachelor of Teaching.
I am passionate about creating a warm, nurturing space for our under 2 tamariki.
Like the new fern shoots, our tamariki are newly emerging into the world. We celebrate this and seek to surround them with care as they journey towards independence in pikopiko.

I have always believed if children are happy and healthy then they love to learn. I am a proud Mum of 3 daughters, two of whom attended CK. I’ve been in ECE for more than 20 years.
Janell Cook
Hi my name is Janell, I am a teacher in the Nga Whetu room. I am passionate about working and interacting with children. They are little miracles and are little sponges so eager to learn. It is a privilege to be a part of their learning journey.
Tess Wood
Tena Koutou
Welcome to all our CK families – my name is Tess and I have lived in the Moutere Community since 2002. Both my children attended CK many years ago. I became a teacher 17 years ago, with a short break away for the last few years.
This centre is close to my heart, being a community centre and we are here for our families. I’m looking forward to 2025 teaching in the Nga whetu programme. Family, health and wellbeing and learning through play are all important to me.
Bron
Hi, my name is Bron, I now work in the Just 4 Kids programme. I have had the privilege of working throughout Country Kids over the 4 years I have been here.
I have a passion for developing solid respectful relationships as I believe that without this base there is no foundation for all other learning and development. Our tamariki need to feel like they belong and have a place in their space and this comes by getting to know them as individuals.
I ride my bike to work most days and I love being outside in nature exploring with the tamariki in my care.
Aimee Thomas
Hey I’m Aimee,
I’m passionate about being a teacher and that is why I have dedicated the past 20 years to this wonderful profession.
I have a son who is nearly 2 years old, and he is the greatest treasure I have in my life. He has unlocked a new level of understanding to what it is to be a parent and to raise a child.
My teaching reflects my adoration and respect for nature, and the importance of being kind to all living things, no matter how big or small. Being outside in nature is my happy place. I enjoy immensely being able to instil this excitement onto the children and nurture their own curiosity, exploration, questioning and discoveries. All while providing them with support, guidance, and challenges.
Music and art are huge must haves in my life. These are must haves in my teaching too. My experiences with music and art have been positive ones and this is the vibe I like to bring into my teaching. Music and art are fundamental to helping children develop cognitive, emotional, social, and creative skills. I love how all senses can be activated and sharing this with the next generation is awesome.
Diploma Teaching (ECE). Fully certificated Teacher.
Pippi Gamby
Pippi has worked with Country Kids over the years and for many years. She just can’t get enough of the place!

Our Support Staff
Keith Best
Country Kids has been a huge part of my life for the past 22 years, beginning as Finance administrator in 1999 and later going on to be Licensee and Management Team member for many years.
I have recently stepped down from most of my roles to enjoy more time on the road with my wife in our recently purchased campervan.
My highlight has been the time spent with the children either as a volunteer in the garden or as a relief Teacher aid. I will always treasure being bestowed the title of “Farmer Best”
Anne Best
Anne handles the weekly enrolments for families, amongst a wide variety of other administrative tasks. At Country Kids we pride ourselves on being as flexible as possible. Anne’s here to help you, so please just ask!
